Preparing for your Purification Program

As a sat down to make me shopping list for this week, I realized that there were a number of things that I might need to grab at the store that I wouldn't have thought of had I not been starting my Purification Program this week. After realizing this, I thought that it might be helpful to everyone if I made a list of things that you might want to grab at the store before you officially start your Purification Program. Here is a list of groceries that you will want to grab before you officially start your Purification Program.



1. Vegetables that you enjoy eating; you can eat an unlimited amount of vegetables from the following list (use organic as much as possible)




  • Artichokes
  • Asparagus
  • Bean sprouts
  • Beets, red
  • Broccoli or Brocciflower
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Cabbage
  • Carrots
  • Cauliflower
  • Celery
  • Chives
  • Cucumbers
  • Egg plant
  • Garlic
  • Leeks
  • Mushrooms
  • Okra
  • Onions
  • Parsley
  • Peppers (any color)
  • Pimentos
  • Radishes
  • Sea vegetables
  • Squash
  • String beans
  • Sweet Potatoes (only 1/2 per day)
  • Turnips
  • Water chestnuts
  • Yams (only 1/2 per day)
  • Zucchini

2. Lettuce and Greens-you can eat an unlimited amount of vegetables from the following list (use organic as much as possible)

  • Arugula
  • Beet greens
  • Chicory
  • Collard greens
  • Dandelion greens
  • Escarole
  • Kale
  • Mustard greens
  • Red and green leaf
  • Romaine
  • Spinach
  • Swiss chard
  • Watercress

3. Fruit- you should eat twice as many servings of vegetables as fruits, make sure that you are eating fresh or frozen only, no dried or canned fruit

  • Apples
  • Apricots
  • Avocados
  • Bananas- 1/2 per shake
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • Cantaloupe
  • Cherries
  • Cranberries
  • Figs
  • Grapefruit
  • Grapes
  • Guavas
  • Honeydew melons
  • Kiwis
  • Kumquats
  • Lemons
  • Limes
  • Loganberries
  • Mangoes
  • Mulberries
  • Nectarines
  • Oranges
  • Papayas
  • Peaches
  • Pears
  • Pineapple
  • Plums
  • Pomegranates
  • Raspberries
  • Rhubarb
  • Strawberries
  • Tangerines
  • Tomatoes

4. Lentils or Wild/Brown Rice- Lentils are recommended over wild rice because lentils have a higher protein content and less carbohydrates

5. Protein Sources- these will be added to the program on day 11 so you shouldn't have to worry about this week. I will give you a reminder about protein for next week.

6. Water- you will be drinking a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day so plan accordingly

7. Oils- these should be cold-pressed and unprocessed. Use only high-quality oils such as:

  • Coconut oil
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Fish oil
  • Flax seed oil
  • Grape seed oil

All of this information can be found in the Standard Process Purification Program Guide in the folder that was given to you with your products.

So before you go shopping, make a list of all of the supplies that you will need this week as you start your purification program!
